Out Of My Head Documentary
You’re invited to an exclusive premiere screening and Q&A with the filmmakers of Out Of My Head. Seats limited.
A new highly acclaimed documentary called ‘Out Of My Head’ is launching a series of cinema screenings across Australia.
The film follows the powerful story of Susanna Styron who seeks treatment for her daughter’s migraine attacks and discovers a confounding neurological disease. The film follows her journey as she investigates why this devastating condition, afflicting nearly a billion people worldwide, remains so deeply misunderstood and what the future holds for all of us.
Headache Australia is partnering with the filmmakers to help shine a spotlight on why much needed research and funding is required to help Australian migraine patients manage and hopefully one day cure themselves of this condition.
There are three premiere Q&A screenings with the filmmakers in July in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. These exclusive advance screenings will also include a special Q&A session with the filmmakers. If you are not located near any of these advance screenings you may like to host your own screening in your area.
You’re invited to this exclusive premiere screening and Q&A with the filmmakers and Headache Australia.
How it works:
- Events listed in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne are opening premieres with an additional Q&A session with the filmakers at the end of the screening.
- You can host your own screening in your location.
- Each screening is crowd funded. Tickets must be booked in advance. If the ‘tipping point’ for the event is not reached in advance the event does not proceed and tickets are fully refunded.
If you wish to host your own screening, the host is responsible for bringing the audience. You might like to do this during Headache and Migraine Week from September 10-16. This will give you plenty of time to prepare and recruit your community to the event. Headache Australia can also help by letting the community know about all the screenings and locations available during Headache & Migraine Week. More information is available here to host your own screening event.
Remember the screening links will initially show the event as ‘Unconfirmed’. When enough tickets are sold for each event the status will switch to ‘Confirmed’.
There is no risk to you if you order your ticket and the screening does not go ahead. All tickets are fully refunded if this occurs, but you need to order your ticket to secure the event.
Time is running out, the Sydney screening needs to reach the tipping point before June 22nd or the screening will be cancelled. Grab your tickets and invite your family and friends today!
