Migraine and Healthy Eye Project
People with migraine between the ages of 18 and 45 are invited to participate in a research study assessing the effects of migraine headaches on visual function.
The study will involve an ocular screening examination (30 minutes) and 2 test sessions (up to 3 hours). During the sessions, the following will be performed:
1. An eye examination to determine whether you are eligible to participate in the study.
2. A series of standard clinical tests where you are required to respond to targets presented in your field of view.
3. Electrophysiological recordings of the signals coming from the eye and the brain in response to the appearance of a black-and-white pattern on a computer screen.
Volunteers will be reimbursed $20 per session to contribute towards any out-of-pocket expenses incurred in attending. Test sessions are located at the Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences at the University of Melbourne.
