Migraine and headache seminars will be held across Australia led by neurologists & headache experts during the week. Throughout the week several topics on migraine and headache will also be available to patients to view online.

Dr. Bronwyn Jenkins

Dr. Bronwyn Jenkins

Dr Bronwyn Jenkins (BMed FRACP) is a neurologist with subspecialty interests in headache and stroke. She graduated from The University of Newcastle in 1995, and a highlight of her training has been an International Headache Society Headache Master School. She is one of the founding members and Co-Secretary for the Australian and New Zealand Headache Society (ANZHS) which aims to improve management of headache patients in our region.

Dr. Christina Sun-Edelstein

Dr. Christina Sun-Edelstein

Dr. Christina Sun-Edelstein MD FRACP is a neurologist with subspecialty training and experience in Headache Medicine.  She completed her neurology training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, and later a headache fellowship at St Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital’s Headache Institute.  Currently she runs the Headache Clinic at St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne.  Dr. Sun-Edelstein has received awards from the Headache Cooperative of New England, the American Academy of Neurology and the American Headache Society.  She has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals including Cephalalgia, Headache and Current Pain and Headache Reports, and has co-authored several headache chapters and topics in headache textbooks and the online medical reference UpToDate®.

Jacinta Johnson

Jacinta is a credentialled Advanced Practice Pharmacist and Lecturer in Pharmacy within the School of Pharmacy and Medical Science. Currently, Jacinta also holds the position of Senior Pharmacist – Medication Safety at Flinders Medical Centre (FMC). In Addition, Jacinta is a Board Director for the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia (SHPA), sits on the Leadership Group for the SHPA Education and Educational Visiting Speciatly Practice Stream and is an active member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia SA/NT Early Career Pharmacist Group. Her current research is focused upon pain, opioids, addiction and harm minimisation.

Chantal Baldwin

Dr Chantal Baldwin

Dr Chantal Baldwin graduated from Adelaide University, having completed a fellowship year in neuroimmunology and MS under the tutelage of Professor Mark Slee at Flinders Medical Centre. She has completed a neurophysiology fellowship additionally at Royal North Shore Hospital and is presently completing Masters of Philosophy postgraduate research in diabetic neuromuscular complications.

Professor Melinda Fitzgerald

Melinda Fitzgerald is Professor of Neurotrauma and the Leader of the Australian Mission for Traumatic Brain Injury, a Medical Research Future Fund initiative providing $50 million in Federal Government funding over 10 years. She is Deputy Director of the Curtin Health Innovation Research Institute, Curtin University, and jointly appointed by the Perron Institute for Neurological and Translational Science. Prof Fitzgerald has published over 85 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals. Her research goal is to improve outcomes for patients who have experienced traumatic injury to their central nervous system.

Dr. Nicole Limberg

Neurologist and Director of Migraine Specialist in Spring Hill, Brisbane. The clinic specializes in the treatment of chronic migraine, including the provision of botulinum toxin therapy. Dr. Limberg has participated as an investigator in further research of chronic migraine therapy, and provides training and education on the topic of chronic migraine therapy to her medical colleagues. She is also dedicated to improved patient education and contributes to a regular blog at www.migrainespecialist.com.au. Dr. Limberg is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists (ANZAN), as well as the newly formed Australian and New Zealand Headache Society (ANZHS).
